CNC MILLED CRYOGENIC COMPONENTS
Cryogenic Plates that I designed in Fusion 360 and then machined on a Pratt & Whitney CNC Milling Machine. A CAM program was created in Fusion 360 for the creation of the milling jig and all of the parts. The machining process was set up with a designed jig in the milling vise so that all blank stock pieces would have a set point to machine from. In this case, the upper left mounting hole was the zero point. These cryogenic parts were a production run that was completed in a short time frame, less than 2 weeks from start to finish. Due to application, all parts were held to a +/- 0.005" tolerance and 1 degree parallelism. This was done during my time at Amorphic Tech Ltd, an engineering consultancy, contract manufacturer and machine shop. Their website is: www.amorphictech.com
